Starting Scouts as a Joey Scout, I’ve moved through all youth sections in Scouting to being a Leader today. As a Rover Scout, I started a Tumblr about the problems and perks of being a Rover Scout. Unintentionally, this took me around the world (effectively as an influencer, which I didn’t expect) and led to my life changing so much and being impacted by so many amazing individuals.
Although I don’t lead with that level of content creation anymore, I have had the privilege to learn from others and see how they help to share the message of Scouting in the present day.
Part of why I choose to keep volunteering in Scouting is the calibre of the young people I have the honour to serve alongside. I am continually astounded by the amazing level of remarkable individuals who I am fortunate enough to learn from.
